The Civil and Defence Housing Society Lahore was established in 1973 and later renamed the Lahore Cantonment Co-Operative Housing Society (LCCHS), registered with the Punjab Government in March 1975. In 1991, the Lahore High Court delegated all its powers to the Commander of Lahore Corps. Subsequently, in 1999, this society evolved into t

Subsequently, in 1999, this society evolved into the Defence Housing Authority Lahore (DHA Lahore) through a Provincial Ordinance. The DHA housing authority Lahore was federalized in 2002, a status confirmed by Parliament in 2004.
